DAY PARTY

A Mission Creek x Brink Collab
An Iowa City-based arts experience rooted in food, literature, and music

From the founders of The Mission Creek Festival and Brink, Day Party is a new music and literature festival for the Iowa City community. The festival embodies the magic of finding new art, friends, and community during the expansive daylight hours of a late-spring weekend.

Equal parts wit and grit, we are a gathering place for local and Midwestern creativity. The event runs from early afternoon to early evening. It combines live music, readings, conversations, and a range of food experiences from local chefs. The festivities take place in a creative nook on Iowa City’s southside, hosted at emerging and iconic spaces: Little Village, Plated Table, Trumpet Blossom Cafe, and Public Space One.

Schedules, Line-up, Tickets and more can be found on the Day Party homepage.

Dates for Day Party 2027 will be announced soon!

BRINK EXHIBITION

Art + Experience

The Brink Exhibition is an annual site-specific fundraiser that supports independent literary publishing. Held at a different location each year on the last day of February, the Exhibition breathes life into Brink publications by bringing them off the page and into the Iowa City community.

Past Exhibitions have taken place in the University of Iowa Museum of Natural History, an empty floor of a downtown bank, and at Old Brick, and have featured large-scale installations, live musical performances, Video Essay and Cinepoetry screenings, live skyline portraiture, and audio excerpts from Brink publications.

Tickets are released February 1 and are available at tiered levels.
