The Off-The-Page Residency expands Brink’s mission to bring hybrid writing into the community by leveraging resources to invest in writers and artists working outside traditional venue, programmatic, or genre alignment.

 

The residency supports place-based and socially engaged projects in Iowa City through resources, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for projects that highlight complexity, craft, critical thinking, and creative expression outside, or with a mix of, traditional artistic and literary disciplines.

 

This six-month residency is intended to extend projects already in motion, culminating in a public performance or exhibition.​
