Quilted Memoir Writing

Quilted Memoir Writing

$250.00Price

When memoirs include elements beyond a linear narrative—research, multimedia, experimental forms, etc—they’re often called “hybrid memoirs.” In Quilted Memoir Writing, you’ll learn to write your own hybrid memoir, loosely inspired by the process of making a quilt. Learn how to gather materials and cultivate your personal archive, choose strong details and construct scenes, assemble and compose your narrative, and finish your project through self-editing and seeking feedback from trusted friends. Leave class with pages of writing and a framework for how to independently write and complete a quilted memoir. You don’t need to know anything about sewing or quilting to take this class! All levels welcome.
